A special campaign to know about the National Scheme

“Come In As Guests, Leave As Customers”

         Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR), Chennai, an autonomous organisation under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, is implementing the Apprentices Act in Southern Region, now organizes Special Campaign at Sriperumbudur, Maraimalai Nagar, Chennai and Puducherry to facilitate Industries  / Establishments to get information about the National Scheme of Apprenticeship Training and to engage Engineering Graduates, Diploma Holders in Engineering and +2 Vocational pass-outs as Apprentices under the scheme thereby to comply with the provisions of the Statutory Act.

The campaign centres are:

 Industries / Establishments in and around Sriperumbudur, Chennai – Bangalore National Highway, Maraimalai Nagar, Tidel Park, OMR (Rajiv Gandhi Road) and Puducherry State which have so far not engaged apprentices under the Apprentices Act can now utilize the rare opportunity to get the benefit of the Apprenticeship Training Scheme.

Objective of the Campaign:

 Ø  To provide information about the National Scheme at the door step of the Industries / Establishments

Ø  To facilitate for interaction across the table and to clarify all doubts in the implementation of the Apprenticeship Training Scheme

Ø  To establish good liaison between Industries and Board of Apprenticeship Training to bridge the gap

Ø  To bring all Industries / Establishments under the purview of the statutory Act

Salient features of the campaign:

 Ø  Flexible timing to visit campaign centre between 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm

Ø  To get all information about the scheme on the spot

Ø  Continuous follow up action to help the Industries in locating candidates for Apprenticeship Training

Ø  No Registration fee for participation

The Survey Information Proforma (SIP) for Graduate / Technician and also Technician (Vocational) apprentices are annexed along with this invitation. Industries / Establishments which require notification order immediately after the discussion are requested to bring the filled SIP form to enable us to issue adhoc notification on the spot. Industries are requested to contact us any further clarification in filling up the SIP form.
